About the Author – Ezra Hodge

Ezra Hodge began his career as a newspaper reporter in New Orleans for The Times-Picayune, writing a weekly column. He worked in internet/TV news before moving into education. He then led educational publishing and standardized testing programs for Pearson Education in Austin, through the roll out of the Common Core and College & Career Readiness curriculums.

Always with a hand in tech, Ezra then ran a stateand local government-focused software company. This led to roles at Amazon and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

While Ezra’s days are centered in the tech world, his spare time is spent on children’s publishing and writing stories of his own.

About the Illustrator – Agustina Perciante

Agustina Perciante is an award-winning book illustrator, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. When growing up, she was rarely without a pencil and would spend hours drawing herfavorite cartoon characters.

Nowadays, Agustina is a versatile artist. Hardly a day goes by when she isn’t making art: digital illustrations, traditional painting, sculpting or drawing.

When portraying people and characters, she looks for what is unique in them and then draws from her heart. She particularly enjoys illustrating special moments in people’s lives, and the challenge of making sad moments beautiful. In addition to The Rock That Was a Bully, she is the illustrator of a number of upcoming Hungry Mutt books.
